My Happy Memory Box

You whispered her name in your sleep last night The same name I saw in your diary last week With hearts adorned It took me back to days long gone When it was my name Encircled by hearts You drew it on a napkin that day, In honor of our very first date The napkin’s still lying in a box, It is still a part of my happy memory box…

It must have been difficult to see someone else's name "with hearts adorned" in a loved one's diary, Wilma. But it seems to have brought back some good memories for you. When I was 15 my first boyfriend handed me a letter saying he wanted to break up. I still have the letter; don't know why I kept it. But now I can look at it and smile, recalling how innocent we both were then. What a lovely write! Love, Carolyn
