My Happiest Day

torn between singing Billie Elish
and listening to Lana Del Rey

"the world is a little blurry
or maybe it's my eyes"

between reciting Rumi
and reading Rupi Kaur

"rivers fall from my mouth
tears my eyes can't carry"

I wonder what if
I already lived my happiest day?

What if not? Tomorrow may be a pleasant surprise. Your musings are something else.

Your happiest happy has already passed? Get rid of that thought; get rid of it fast. Your happiest days are somewhere ahead. Now that’s a thought to keep in your head!

the thing i love about this poem, is how everybody that actually reads it get into a positive and forward looking mood. i think that by putting the horrible thought forward, it triggers us to move and believe in a brighter future, thank you for your beautiful and meaningful comment
