My Halloween Horrors

Witches so surreal
Silhouettes upon the moon
Flying on broomsticks

Jack-o-lanterns : smile
Through the flames of Hell, inside
Feigning , frightful sighs

Spooky ghost run by
On moonless Halloween nights
I, cower in Fear

Really enjoyed your haiku series HG, the Jack-o-latern one is my favourite. Congratulations on your 5th place win. Thanks for your comments on 'A Raven's Thirst'. I'm not of Inuit descent, this particular legend with its many variations just seemed to capture my imagination. The sonnet is one of my favourite forms so I wanted to create an epic in sonnet form ~ Sharon

Thank you Harvey for your response to my plea. If so many as three gather is a promise . You have gathered 4 times that number. Bless you and all the others who hve rallied to prayer for our babies. I am sure we are more worried than we should be but I m used to big husky babies in our family and they seem so tiny. I will keep everyone informed as they start to gain weight and gather strength. Buy the way this poem looks like a winner to me. Love, Joyce (Mom)
