My Guardian Angel
Her wings enwrap me whenever trouble is near;
She whispers reminders of morality, softly in my ear.
She helps me see the goodness in others when I am weak,
And guides me to avoid anger and turn the other cheek.
Her beauty I see reflected in the faces of the young;
She ensures only nice words escape from my tongue.
She reminds me to thank God for the things that are good,
And encourages me to help others when she knows that I should.
Without my Angel, the guardian looking out for me,
Temptation could corrupt me so easily.
When I pass through this life to heaven up above
I will owe it to my Angel and her guidance of love.
