MY GOD, THANK YOU FOR URGING ME TO BE WATCHFUL
Thank You for urging to be watchful with prayerful fervency
Along Your mercy’s consistency
Despite my complacency…
Here am I repenting, pursuing supplication’s persistency.
Thank You for urging to be watchful with obedient willingness
Along Your graciousness’ bountifulness
Despite my rebelliousness…
Here am I submitting myself to You, combatting pride’s destructiveness.
Thank You for urging to be watchful with purposive direction
Along Your guidance-protection
Despite my perversion…
Here am I humbling down, following Your set instruction.
Thank You for urging to be watchful with participative involvement
Along Your Word’s commandment
Despite my discouragement…
Here am I striving, doing best for commitment’s fulfillment.
Thank You for urging to be watchful with service-diligence
Along Your presence-prominence
Despite my indolence…
Here am I moving on, overcoming slothfulness’ preference.
Thank You for urging to be watchful with communion-fellowship
Along Your loving relationship
Despite my hardship…
Here am I abiding, continuing upon stewardship’s worship.
Thank You for urging to be watchful with careful sobriety
Along Your wise sovereignty
Despite my instability…
Here am I growing in faith, rejoicing by Your grace for victory’s certainty.
