MY GOD, THANK YOU FOR SUSTAINING ME
Thank You for sustaining me with Your strengthening
You’re my Helper on Whom I’m confidently leaning…
My faith clings to Your truth from where I’m learning
When apprehensive midst biblical refining.
Thank You for sustaining me with Your upholding
You’re my Deliverer from troubles and backsliding…
My soul seeks Your goodness’ unfolding
When weary midst heavy loading.
Thank You for sustaining me with Your supplying
You’re my Provider, granting my needs in praying…
My body rests in Your refreshment’s laying
When tired midst holy trying.
Thank You for sustaining me with Your keeping
You’re my Guard against pride’s leaping…
My step follows Your leadership’s gripping
When bored midst worldly clasping.
Thank You for sustaining me with Your counselling
You’re my Teacher, instructing with wisdom’s fueling…
My mind longs for Your Word’s filling
When failing midst fainting’s pulling.
Thank You for sustaining me with Your warming
You’re my Lover against foes, grievously harming…
My heart stays in Your caring affirming
When afflicted midst sinful storming.
