Key Verse – 1Corinthians 6:11 And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.
MY GOD, THANK YOU FOR SANCTIFYING ME
Thank You for sanctifying me from sins’ filthiness
To purge me by Your blood–paid forgiveness
Despite attacking wickedness
For my soul’s cleansing midst righteousness’ earnestness.
Thank You for sanctifying me from filthiness’ defilement
To guard me by Your ransom–sealed settlement
Despite corruption-inflicting impairment
For my salvation’s strengthening midst testimony’s betterment.
Thank You for sanctifying me from defilement’s abomination
To uphold me by Your redemption–granted compassion
Despite afflicting transgression
For my heart’s praising midst worship’s devotion.
Thank You for sanctifying me from abomination’s impurity
To instruct me by Your wisdom directed by Your sovereignty
Despite deceiving uncertainty
For my transformation’s charging midst conversion’s reality.
Thank You for sanctifying me from impurity’s indecency
To protect me by Your standard–anchored proficiency
Despite proliferating perfection-deficiency
For my holiness’ brightening midst enhancement’s sufficiency.
Thank You for sanctifying me from indecency’s error
To correct me by Your Word–stressed fervor
Despite tempting rigor
For my behavior’s straightening midst discipline’s anchor.
Thank You for sanctifying me from error’s spoilage
To preserve me by Your virtue–braced courage
Despite agonizing guilt-damage
For my services’ fruit-bearing midst ministry’s advantage.
