MY GOD, THANK YOU FOR REFRESHING ME
Thank You for refreshing me against tiredness
While restoring my strength to its fullness---
Now I can face another challenging business
Indeed ready because of Your steadfastness.
Thank You for refreshing me against hardship
While cheering my soul in Your fellowship---
Now I can persevere by Your entrusted stewardship
Indeed persistent because of Your partnership.
Thank You for refreshing me against losses
While upholding my spirit upon truth-braces---
Now I can rejoice, smiting distresses
Indeed glad because of Your wisdom that blesses.
Thank You for refreshing me against downfall
While anchoring my faith as trust stands righteously tall---
Now I can walk toward holiness’ hall
Indeed inspired because of Your call.
Thank You for refreshing me against trials’ pain
While regarding my welfare midst temptation-reign---
Now I can continue despite attacks of sinful villain
Indeed prayerful because of Your power I can gain.
Thank You for refreshing me against anger
While correcting my attitudes that shouldn’t linger---
Now I can enjoy divine bounty, conquering carnal hunger
Indeed contented because of Your love, defying hatred’s finger.
Thank You for refreshing me against heartaches
While lifting up my eyes to see my mistakes---
Now I can learn from experience-shakes
Indeed assured because of Your Word that wondrously awakes.
