My God, Thank You For Performing Your Oath Unto Me

July 29 Scripture Meditations Based on Jeremiah 11-15 Key Verse – Jeremiah 11:5 That I may perform the oath which I have sworn unto your fathers, to give them a land flowing with milk and honey, as it is this day. Then answered I, and said, So be it, O LORD.
MY GOD, THANK YOU FOR PERFORMING YOUR OATH UNTO ME Thank You for performing Your oath unto me with Your grace Letting me see Your goodness along Your kindness’ rays Amidst busy days weakening faith-walking pace… Oh, how I honour You, giving my praise of worshipful ways. Thank You for performing Your oath unto me with Your holiness Letting me fear Your wrath over my unrighteousness Amidst vain compromises of worldly worthlessness… Oh, how I hide in You, repenting from my shameful sinfulness. Thank You for performing Your oath unto me with Your provision Letting me enjoy Your bounty full of satisfaction Amidst grievous complaints along scarcity’s vexation… Oh, how I trust You, confessing my discontented reaction. Thank You for performing Your oath unto me with Your guidance Letting me obey Your direction toward truth-assurance Amidst chaotic situations because of confusing allegiance… Oh, how I follow You, subduing my skeptical arrogance. Thank You for performing Your oath unto me with Your mercy Letting me rely on Your ready, available clemency Amidst serious threats of guilt needing pardon’s sufficiency… Oh, how I seek You, overcoming my doubts and lack of persistency. Thank You for performing Your oath unto me with Your wisdom Letting me regard Your work in advancing Your kingdom Amidst foolish opinions causing intellectual boredom… Oh, how I cling to You, turning from my humanistic freedom. Thank You for performing Your oath unto me with Your covenant Letting me appreciate Your faithfulness, sovereignly dominant Amidst carnal accomplishments making me in Your service, stagnant… Oh, how I abide in You, casting my cares as an earthly tenant.
