My God, Thank You For Nourishing Me Up

November 26 Scripture Meditations Based on 1Timothy 3-4 Key Verse – 1Timothy 4:6 If thou put the brethren in remembrance of these things, thou shalt be a good minister of Jesus Christ, nourished up in the words of faith and of good doctrine, whereunto thou hast attained.
MY GOD, THANK YOU FOR NOURISHING ME UP Thank You for nourishing me up in Your words of faith-exercise So powerfully mighty for valuable sacrifice To strengthen me while for Your glory I will arise Against grips of worthless ties. Thank You for nourishing me up in Your doctrines of truth-certainty So purely biblical for fruitful spirituality To assure me within Your salvation of steadfast security Against beliefs of humanistic religiosity. Thank You for nourishing me up in Your teachings of loyalty-faithfulness So clearly constant for joyful devotedness To uphold me while to Your love I cleave with peacefulness Against attacks of infidelity’s waywardness. Thank You for nourishing me up in Your principles of ministry-stewardship So fully effective for optimum partnership To uphold me within Your fellowship whenever I seek You in worship Against enticements of worldly friendship. Thank You for nourishing me up in Your care of compassion-nurture So gently kind for good works’ gesture To drive me toward Your heart I trust in my heavenly venture Against anger of hatred’s torture. Thank You for nourishing me up in Your instructions of triumph-contentment So bountifully sufficient for grateful acknowledgment To supply me with Your abundance I enjoy with fulfillment Against tragedy of prayerlessness’ detriment. Thank You for nourishing me up in Your assurance of presence-guidance So readily available for prudent performance To direct me to Your ways I choose for holy stance Against frustrations of stubborn arrogance.
