My God, Thank You For Making Me Obey Your Voice
January 16 Scripture Meditations Based on Exodus 5-8
Key Verse – Exodus 5:2 And Pharaoh said, Who is the LORD, that I should obey his voice to let Israel go?
MY GOD, THANK YOU FOR MAKING ME OBEY YOUR VOICE
Thank You for making me obey Your voice of sovereignty
That leads me toward eternal journey’s triumphant finality
Along Your provided rest from burden’s enormity
In working with my tasks for You, driven by sincerity.
Thank You for making me obey Your voice of compassionate command
That moves me toward diligent sacrifice by Your strong hand
Along Your prodding drive to reach the promised land
In conquering my anguish caused by pride’s cruel demand.
Thank You for making me obey Your voice of redemption
That brings me toward soulwinning-function
Along Your appointed call to fulfill Your great commission
In doing my part for Your mission’s realization.
Thank You for making me obey Your voice of lordship
That sends me toward delights of earnest worship
Along Your offered friendship and sweet fellowship
In devoting my all to You while exercising faithful stewardship.
Thank You for making me obey Your voice of guidance
That directs me toward service-blessings’ abundance
Along Your shown miracles revealing mystery-riddance
In practicing my trust in You above doubt-avoidance.
Thank You for making me obey Your voice of revival
That urges me toward meeting You in Your presence-arrival
Along Your gracious mercy with Your loving kindness’ interval
In submitting my heart to Your molding’s upheaval.
