My God, Thank You For Lighting Me Up

September 28 Scripture Meditations Based on Luke 2-3 Key Verse– Luke 2:32 A light to lighten the Gentiles, and the glory of thy people Israel.
MY GOD, THANK YOU FOR LIGHTING ME UP Thank You for lighting me up midst afflictive hardship By your Word’s illumination for my faithful stewardship As You guide me thru Your loving leadership Enabling me to work well along Your partnership’s workmanship. Thank You for lighting me up midst proud attitude By your humility’s revelation for my sincere gratitude As You abase me thru Your meek fortitude Enabling me to submit willingly to Your beatitudes’ magnitude. Thank You for lighting me up midst sinful tendency By your holiness’ virtue for my sanctified potency As You cleanse me thru Your forgiveness-filled mercy Enabling me to worship devotedly with Your graciousness’ sufficiency. Thank You for lighting me up midst guilty conscience By your pardon’s perfection for my honest obedience As You deal with me thru Your gentle patience Enabling me to serve diligently around Your helpfulness’ expedience. Thank You for lighting me up midst obscure transgression-darkness By your salvation’s assurance for my biblical righteousness As You teach me thru Your wise truthfulness Enabling me to testify clearly upon Your Gospel’s effectiveness. Thank You for lighting me up midst lonely moment By your cheerfulness’ mirth for my encouraged involvement As You inspire me thru Your purposive commitment Enabling me to continue toward Your great commission’s fulfillment. Thank You for lighting me up midst frustrating endeavour By your comfort’s presence for my persevering fervour As You strengthen me thru Your approving favour Enabling me to persist within Your victory’s savour.
