MY GOD, THANK YOU FOR HUMBLING ME
Thank You for humbling me against my self-righteousness
By Your grace-fueled holiness
With Your constant goodness
Along Your supreme greatness for real meekness.
Thank You for humbling me against my self-glorying
By Your mercy-propped steadfastness while in Your will, I’m staying
With Your ready help’s enjoying
Along Your triumphant victory for faith-trying.
Thank You for humbling me against my self-pity
By Your salvation-assured security
With Your sacrifices’ bounty
Along Your majestic sovereignty for submission-sincerity.
Thank You for humbling me against my self-exaltation
By Your redemption-caused sanctification
With Your Word’s immutability of pure perfection
Along Your ruling power for spiritual transformation.
Thank You for humbling me against my self-sufficiency
By Your satisfaction-filled clemency
With Your love’s work-consistency
Along Your abundant provisions for contentment-fervency.
Thank You for humbling me against my self-confidence
By Your might-driven prevalence
With Your wisdom’s preference
Along Your converting truth for modesty-diligence.
