My God, Thank You For Going With Me

MY GOD, THANK YOU FOR GOING WITH ME Thank You for going with me along Your strengthening Toward Your perfect will of great grace-dining… Help me to hear Your voice as well as Your warning And not to forsake You because of sinning. Thank You for going with me along Your courage Toward Your promised land of bountiful provision-storage… Help me to abide in Your covenant midst worldliness’ noise barrage And not to provoke You to anger and jealousy rage. Thank You for going with me along Your kindness Toward Your purposeful plan that glorifies You by Your goodness… Help me to trust Your Word with Your faithfulness And not to doubt You due to unbelief’s stubbornness. Thank You for going with me along Your command Toward Your protective security of peaceful obedience-propped demand… Help me to follow Your instructions upon precepts’ remand And not to rebel against You whenever my iniquities You reprimand. Thank You for going with me along Your victory Toward Your prevailing triumph of holy worship-glory… Help me to esteem Your presence in telling Your Gospel story And not to frustrate You in my vanity that brings misery. Thank You for going with me along Your leadership-tie Toward Your persistent compassion that keeps me as the apple of Your eye… Help me to delight in Your care as You move me to faith-high And not to displease You with my deceit and lie.
