My God, Thank You For Enlightening Me

MY GOD, THANK YOU FOR ENLIGHTENING ME

Thank You for enlightening me toward godly repentance
Midst sinfulness’ distance
Despite rebellious resistance
For my soul’s eternal assistance.

Thank You for enlightening me toward biblical righteousness
Midst religiosity’s earnestness
Despite idolatrous devotedness
For my faith’s genuine productiveness.

Thank You for enlightening me toward heavenly aim
Midst worldliness’ fame
Despite earthly game
For my vision’s celestial claim.

Thank You for enlightening me toward eternal direction
Midst selfishness’ destruction
Despite temporal ambition
For my life’s everlasting destination.

Thank You for enlightening me toward holy goal
Midst wickedness’ hole
Despite evil pole
For my servant’s saintly role.

Thank You for enlightening me toward purposive commitment
Midst achievement’s discontentment
Despite shallow endearment
For my joy’s blessed fulfillment.

Thank You for enlightening me toward faithful stewardship
Midst deceptive partnership
Despite mediocre workmanship
For my fellowship’s victorious worship.
