My God, Thank You For Defending Me

MY GOD, THANK YOU FOR DEFENDING ME
Thank You for defending me as You consider my meditation
By giving ear to my words of supplication
Truly hearkening unto the voice of my cry and lamentation
Indeed hearing me and my prayers’ intention.
Thank You for defending me as You direct my choices
By guiding me to look up against curses
Truly bringing me to Your pleasure that blesses
Indeed pulling me away from wicked places.
Thank You for defending me as You drive my faithfulness
By propelling me to come into Your righteousness
Truly guiding me through Your counsels’ truthfulness
Indeed compassing me with Your favor’s pleasantness.
Thank You for defending me as You heal my sin-ailment
By forgiving me with Your mercy’s fulfillment
Truly rebuking me not in Your anger’s sentiment
Indeed delivering me from spoiling with Your loving chastisement.
Thank You for defending me as You pardon my iniquity
By cleansing me of my transgressions’ infirmity
Truly sanctifying me from evil’s enmity
Indeed purifying me with Your holiness’ purity.
Thank You for defending me as You visit my stewardship
By attending to me through Your sovereign partnership
Truly communing with me around Your fellowship
Indeed helping me to serve You well by Your leadership.
