My God, Thank You For Dealing Kindly With Me
February 23 Scripture Meditations Based on Ruth 1-4
Key Verse – Ruth 1:8 … The LORD deal kindly with you…
MY GOD, THANK YOU FOR DEALING KINDLY WITH ME
Thank You for dealing kindly with me midst my poverty
When I’m impoverished in my spirituality
While sojourning in worldliness’ vanity
Where You pull me away from futility toward Your bounty.
Thank You for dealing kindly with me midst my loneliness
When I’m weak in my envy-caused bitterness
While experiencing self-pity in barrenness
Where You grab me away from worthlessness toward Your usefulness.
Thank You for dealing kindly with me midst my frustration
When I’m unsuccessful in my goal-direction
While lamenting in loss-grief’s position
Where You drive me away from failure’s torture toward Your victory’s function.
Thank You for dealing kindly with me midst my arrogance
When I’m self-sufficient in my extravagance
While drowning in disobedience-inelegance
Where You snatch me away from earthly craving toward Your divine elegance.
Thank You for dealing kindly with me midst my backsliding
When I’m guilty in my Christian standing
While being sin-oppressed in materialistic humanistic enfolding
Where You bring me away from transgressions’ cell toward Your holy binding.
Thank You for dealing kindly with me midst my hypocrisy
When I’m afflicted in my ministry-deficiency
While pretending to be strong in carnal persistency
Where You carry me away from personal fervency toward Your might’s mercy.
