MY GOD, THANK YOU FOR CROWNING MY HEAD
Thank You for crowning my head with Your instruction
As I fear You with sincere devotion
And attend to know understanding’s function
Along Your good doctrine’s presentation.
Thank You for crowning my head with Your teaching
As I listen to You with interested truth-searching
And retain Your words for soul out-reaching
Along Your firm principles’ preaching.
Thank You for crowning my head with Your wisdom
As I strive toward Your heavenly kingdom
And keep Your commandments always, not seldom
Along Your granted spirit’s freedom.
Thank You for crowning my head with Your grace-ornament
As I honour You through my commitment
And exalt Your name magnified in Your testament
Along Your satisfying contentment’s fulfillment.
Thank You for crowning my head with Your deliverance
As I obey You against towering arrogance
And receive Your sayings of divine elegance
Along Your right path’s assurance.
Thank You for crowning my head with Your glory
As I follow You while departing from sins’ misery
And praise Your holiness magnifying Your Gospel story
Along Your established plan’s victory.
