My God, Thank You For Building Me Up

June 2 Scripture Meditations Based on Psalms 125-129

Key Verse – Psalm 127:1 Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it…   

MY GOD, THANK YOU FOR BUILDING ME UP

Thank You for building me up in Your faith-mount
Please lead me by Your strength so sins I can surmount---
So good are Your blessings I can’t count
Which reinforces my trust in Your grace-fount.

Thank You for building me up in Your righteousness
Please turn me from crookedness---
So gracious are Your ways for my holiness
Which leads my testimony toward Your uprightness.

Thank You for building me up in Your sovereignty
Please guard me from sins’ captivity---
So great are Your commandments of instructing certainty
Which moulds my life by Your authority.

Thank You for building me up in Your rejoicing
Please protect me from doubts’ piercing---
So generous are Your provisions never ceasing
Which gladdens my heart for Your worship’s praising.

Thank You for building me up in Your heritage
Please surround me from worldliness’ voltage---
So grand are Your riches of eternal advantage
Which points my sight toward heavenly vantage.

Thank You for building me up in Your peace-jubilation
Please cheer me up from misery and frustration---
So glowing are Your brightness-rays against persecution
Which purifies my anxieties by Your salvation’s perfection.
