January 5 Scripture Meditations Based on Genesis 12-14

Key Verse - Genesis 12:2 And I will … bless thee, and … thou shalt be a blessing.

MY GOD, THANK YOU FOR BLESSING ME TO BE A BLESSING

It’s a great honour to be a blessing because of Your blessings unto me
Being so is a dream come true I acknowledge with grateful glee
For only You can make me thus by Your love that’s richly free---
With thankful heart, I trust You to make me the person You want me to be.

It’s an awesome privilege to be a blessing because of Your benefits, abundant
Being so is a calling I treasure since I’ll be far from becoming stagnant
For only You can put me in that position with the desire You grant---
With thankful soul, I seek guidance in helping according to what You want.

It’s a wondrous feeling to be a blessing because of Your grace
Being so is a state I cherish while I snuggle in Your presence-embrace
For only You can stir me for heavenly pursuits, devoid of carnality-trace---
With thankful devotion, I cleave to You along service-race.

It’s an amazing experience to be a blessing because of Your mercy
Being so is a commitment I vow to accomplish with Your clemency
For only You can drive me along ministry-involvement’s constancy---
With thankful conviction, I abide in Your will of stewardship-fervency.

It’s a worthy role to be a blessing because of Your commission
Being so is a desire I must nurture in Your preaching-teaching instruction
For only You can build me up midst selfishness and pride’s imposition---
With thankful faith, I please You in my kind dealings of aiding exertion.

It’s an acceptable responsibility to be a blessing because of Your approval
Being so is a habit I should practice in overcoming apathy’s perilous interval
For only You can perform in my well-doing of helping for others' revival---
With thankful bliss, I praise Your name, propelling my sacrificial upheaval.

It’s a fulfilling task to be a blessing because of Your victory
Being so is a challenge I accept as a charge for Your glory
For only You can cheer me in lifting fellow believers against misery---
With thankful disposition, I share Your Gospel story.
