My God, Thank You For Binding Me Up

August 19 Scripture Meditations Based on Hosea 6-10

Key Verse – Hosea 6:1 Come, and let us return unto the LORD: for he hath torn, and he will heal us; he hath smitten, and he will bind us up.

MY GOD, THANK YOU FOR BINDING ME UP Thank You for binding me up from sin-brokenness As You heal my soul’s illness Letting me rise up against smiting filthiness By Your merciful forgiveness. Thank You for binding me up from transgression-affliction As You revive my salvation’s jubilation Letting me repent against selfish reaction By Your transforming sanctification. Thank You for binding me up from iniquity-adversity As You cleanse my heart’s infirmity Letting me turn against weakening uncertainty By Your directing authority. Thank You for binding me up from discouragement-ailment As You correct my discontentment’s predicament Letting me strive against earthly commitment By Your inspiring encouragement. Thank You for binding me up from anxiety-misery As You reprove my mind’s worry Letting me soar against vain glory By Your living Gospel story. Thank You for binding me up from idolatry-damage As You work for my faith’s advantage Letting me endure against pride-caused spoilage By Your holy gauge. Thank You for binding me up from guilt-fracture As You fix my conviction’s posture Letting me stand against unrighteousness’ culture By Your gracious gesture.
