My God, Thank You For Being My Way

Thank You for being my way toward Your bliss Away from discontentment and jealousy’s hiss So that I can delight in Your fellowship I must not miss Against miserable backsliding of deceitful kiss. Thank You for being my way toward Your security Away from fright and hardship’s cruelty So that I can seek Your protective stability Against fretful doubts of spiritual poverty. Thank You for being my way toward Your presence Away from assurance and peacefulness’ pretense So that I can abide in Your holiness-prevalence Against boastful selfishness of vain prominence. Thank You for being my way toward Your revival-flame Away from transgressions and guilt’s shame So that I can glorify Your name which by faith I claim Against personal ambition of temporal fame.
