My God, Thank You For Being My Light

MY GOD, THANK YOU FOR BEING MY LIGHT Thank You for being my light along salvation-assurance Upon eternal life’s possession and grand deliverance Despite sinfulness’ afflicting burden midst guilt’s endurance… Thus, I should be compassionate to win souls with perseverance While enjoying Your redemption-insurance. Thank You for being my light along Scripture-confidence Upon genuine faith’s inheritance and wise providence Despite foolishness’ mocking ignorance midst truth’s credence… Thus, I should be determined to learn Bible principles with prudence While believing in Your Word-evidence. Thank You for being my light along sanctuary-worship Upon sincere gladness’ praises and divine fellowship Despite worldliness’ inviting friendship midst brethren’s kinship… Thus, I should be joyful to support church activities with prayer partnership While yielding to Your workmanship-leadership. Thank You for being my light along stewardship-faithfulness Upon eager willingness’ response and earnest decisiveness Despite wastefulness’ attacking peril midst complacency’s business… Thus, I should be diligent to bear good fruits with zealousness While leaning on Your strength-steadfastness. Thank You for being my light along sacrifice-commitment Upon devoted love’s expression and peaceful settlement Despite selfishness’ exalting attitude midst pride’s predicament… Thus, I should be humble to show meekness with contentment While delighting in Your presence-fulfillment. Thank You for being my light along service-bounty Upon obedient heart’s duty and conscientious accountability Despite slothfulness’ enticing impact midst progress’ prosperity… Thus, I should be available to render best work with productivity While labouring for great commission-functionality. Thank You for being my light along sufficiency-satisfaction Upon timely supply’s sustenance and gracious provision Despite doubtfulness’ vexing threats midst crises’ escalation… Thus, I should be prepared to share spiritual blessings with conviction While trusting Your power-action.
