My God Is Yahweh
God raised up a great mighty prophet
to do His work during 9th century BC
Israel was divided as the north kingdom
with Judah leading the south do agree
This man was a Tishbite scripture says
in Hebrew name means my God is Yahweh
his battles were many even to Baal
victory in this proved God to be his stay
God sends this prophet to a widow
where he provides food for her need
later her son died but again he intervenes
bringing him life from death was freed
This prophet did many miracles in his time
even the wicked Jezebel went for the kill
the murder of this prophet was her aim
but the Lord came to uplift to be his fill
Then he was taken to heaven
by a whirlwind gave his mantle away
to his partner receive a double portion
so carrying on this work in God's way
(this was written about a Bible character but not naming who he was, guess who?)
