My God and My Demon Are Not Yours
My God is not your God
My Demon is not your Demon
If pigs fly
If snakes jumps
If horses lay eggs
Than God and Satan are fables.
My God is just
Tolerant
Receptive
Forbearing
And above all forgiving.
My Demon is addictive
Obsessive
Enslaving
Oppressing
And above all disheartening.
God makes me sad with emotions
Languishing love
Disconsolate
Weeping for my shortcomings.
Satan makes me brave
Giving me hope
Pleasure
Indulgence to carnal desire.
I hunger for them both
Without them I am lost
Disoriented
Unhinged.
