My Glowing Fire Fly

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jpbLHqbisUc

A whiff of fragrance with the burn of haystacks touched my soul
as I walked towards an open field, a banquet of dreamy fireflies
Enlightened by the Path I come to discover an ephemeral world
a Paradise lost inside a Universe full of rubble and time;
Steadily I gaze upon this place wandering down dark alleys
sleepless nights and restless dreams keep me awake at night
nothing is ever as it seems in this world of illusion and memory

A moment of remembrance a love that once was brighter still
then moon, stars and fireflies in glowing broken jars
frightened of the bittersweet reality that you once were n' was
I take to flight like a feather to the wind never knowing when
my dreamless sleeps and solitary weeps may take me back again
to those burning hills of India, you and your soft touching light;

A whiff of fragrance with the burn of haystacks touched my soul
you were my glowing firefly you glowed and then you slowly died.
