My Gib Gabs

My train wreck Gabby
was a gem indeed
A giant Newfoundland
a stubborn breed

Loving and gentle
all 180 pounds
She was a mighty hunter
and she protected our grounds

For fourteen years
I loved her dear
Even when she ate my dinner
and drank my beer

I miss that dog
three past eleven
She is now with my Mom
upstairs in heaven

I'm so sorry for your loss. We made the decision to keep three dogs. When one leaves this world then we go pick out a new puppy to provide a loving and caring home for. Our dogs are like family and it hurts so much when they have to go. Again I'm so sorry about your loss and thank you for reading.

Congratulations on your win. I love my friends in fur coats. They are the best. She and your mom have each other. Have you ever read Rainbow Bridge about pets. I know you would love it. Enjoy your win and day................

Congrats on your win my friend. I hope you didn't mind her using your bed for a much needed nap after eating your dinner and drinking your beer.

awww, losing a pet is terribly stressful, Mark. Newfoundlands are beautiful, and Gabby is a great name. Good luck with your entry.

Thanks Jenna, she was a great dog. She seemed to find every cockle burr there was out here. Very difficult to remove them from a newfie

Its heartbreaking when you lose a pet Mark, been through it a couple of times. They are part of your family without doubt. Good luck Tom

Thanks Tom, we are dog people and we usually keep at least two sometimes three and give them a great home and lots of love.
