My Generation

Baby boomers and voting Trump;
Maybe I've been around too long
And perhaps old now and plump;
But tell me man, were the 60's wrong?

Talkin' 'bout my generation;
Is this what we have wrought?
Our beliefs and our veneration .....
Better than this I always thought.

Closer to the end surely to be,
The 60's and our youth long behind
But what of peace, love and groovy?
And now Trump, it blows my mind.

Will he alas be our claim to fame?
My generation in the history books to note,
This piece of **** ruining our good name;
Let's get our old asses out and vote!

Hell, we stopped the war in Nam
And now before our TV's to sit;
I'm thinkin' one more fight, hot damn.
Boomers, let's stop this piece of ****!
