My Generation

Before they said vote or die
but I was too young to even try
So the After math came
and they called my generation
a bunch of lazy hypocrites
A lot of us were barely 17 but we had
to wear the burden of the nations
decision. What I do know is that
I am no longer a child and this year
I will vote. This year my generation
is old enough to do something profound.

GO FOR IT, Shahana. Make a difference. Apathy is what got us into this mess. God Bless. Vince

Good for you! So refreshing to hear someone your age feel this way. You are our future, and though you are only one person, it is wonderful to read this - and hope. Yes, it is profound! Thank you for sharing! Love, Shar
