My Frozen Rear

This sub zero stuff may finally be over How do we survive every year It ain't civilized, it's downright barbaric This year got a frozen rear Sat down on the coals in my barbecue pit Took twenty-four hours to thaw Till finally I smelled a very strange odour Realized it was time to withdraw A Canadian dude but this is insane Even I can't handle this stuff Told Cathie, better hide all the knives Enough is bloody well enough Likely flying south with the birdies next fall Can't take another winter like this Too old and decrepit, way past my prime As I leave, I'll throw you all a big kiss This sub zero stuff may finally be over How do we survive each year!!! © Jack Ellison 2015

LOL! It's downright sinful, this humor. Took 24 hrs on the coal to thaw? Was it even blazing? Oh but finally you smelled something strange and had to withdraw!!! Anytime you want to take a vacation in any of the 1,107 islands, Jack, just holler. And, bring your humor, and CPAP and everything else, will ya? Otherwise you'll be sweating outside our door under the glorious sunshine all day long! :D Kim

Dragon and I agree! This was actually only 1/2 as bad as last year. Dragon has cabin fever, but won't go out until his flame stops turning to snow. He thinks it's undignified, you know. Don't worry, today will finally hit 32 degrees! I'm expecting Dragon snow angels, And any penguins lost in the snow, Dragon will be able to huff and puff and get them out. I'll be watching this from inside, after I finish shoveling the 7 inches that fell last night off my drive way. Want some snow ice cream?

The older I get, the harder it is to endure! Why wasn't I born in the deep south!!! Loving hugs, Jack XXX
