My Friend

Laura, my bosom friend is charming- 
Lovely as the blooming lily of the lake
Her presence is so calming- 
Laura, my bosom friend is charming
Her manners are quite disarming
She is by my side in every ache

She is kind and God fearing 
Reaches out to everyone in need
Seeking no reward, finds pleasure in serving

Her actions, her nobility confirming 
Frank and transparent in every deed

Happy to have such a friend so caring
A real treasure to be cherished 
Fights for justice with daring
