My Foolish Heart

My foolish heart, is sad and blue
It needs to be, in love with you
But you are proud, and just can’t see
What loving you, has done to me

You made me choose, a wiser plan
To be much more, than just a man
You made me strong, but tender too
That’s why my heart, depends on you

Though you fulfil, the dream I seek
My lips are locked, my tongue is weak
My feet are gripped, by super glue
And yet, my heart, is stuck on you

My foolish heart, is not to blame
If it should hope, you call my name
But when you flirt, with other men
My foolish heart, is fooled again

When nights are long, and lonely too
A billion lights, are strung for you
But you alone, can make them glow
My foolish heart, has told me so.
