My Five Senses

You fill up my senses
  with a breath from the heavens
  wafting fragrant jasmine scents in night's leaven,
  as it rises slowly calm and free
  greeting both eye and ear to see;
listen attentive and hear
the heartbeat of the world right here,
  within the confines of the starry sky
  blushing beneath a crescent moon rise,
  while clouds drip rain upon the tongue
  salty brine flavors of two lovers, foolish, young.
Light falls upon my shoulder
  touching the new day that smolders
  beneath the effortless gleaming light,
  unceremonius tranquil escape from night
  the simple place within the heart
stirred and trembling out of the dark
my every sense of you.
