My Five Senses
Surrounded by a liquid, warm,
I feel it soothing my new skin.
My hands and feet move all around
to touch these soft walls here within.
I soon hear something calm and sweet
that lulls me- and such comfort brings;
a muffled voice that fills my ears;
a lovely sound within that rings.
This liquid has so many scents
as I breathe with my mouth and nose.
They all smell good; some wake me up
and others make me want to doze.
And now my taste buds come alive
with all this soup that I drink in.
So many flavors I can taste;
this brand new sense, I now begin.
There's something bright my eyes can see;
though filtered, it is softly seen.
This glow is new, eyes opened wide,
right through my shell, I see the sheen.
Here, in my Mama, I'll grow big,
and soon will make my grand debut.
My strong five senses are set up-
and in her womb, they tested true.
