My First Love Letter

I wrote

my first love letter

on a sheet of paper

torn out of my exercise book

when I was ten, a soft-hearted boy

I look back and think I was a better lover then

I look back and think I was a better writer then

Oh how the years shapes the boy, shapes his love

Oh how the years shapes the boy, shapes his writing

May love conquer always, may the pen be mightier always.
