My Ferry Trip
Diamonds dancing upon the waters
I see the giants lining up along the shore line
some dipping
as if thirsty
into the sparkling waters
I see birds
wings spread wide to catch the breezes of the spinning earth
and watch them soar
in search of sustenance
I smell the salt laden air
that permeates every pore of my skin
and I feel taken away
to be alive is to experience
with all our senses.
