There is one named Ring of Fire- Of all the lovely flowers God has made, there is one beauty that has touched my heart, with petals marching round like on parade- and round a dark brown base, bright red-gold petals border well its rim. A golden vision- a large center, shade of brown and deep red hues- one work of art of all the lovely flowers God has made- bright yellow lashes embellish enormous eye- sunflower beauty. Most often lanky, long, a sturdy grade, with graceful leaves attached that stand apart, with petals marching round like on parade- like dancers swaying, flames aglow side by side- Known as sunflowers, often seen arrayed in fields and gardens, standing tall and smart, of all the lovely flowers God has made- flames aglow side by side- such a fiery view! Your red-gold beauty beckons to persuade such bold and striking wonder tops my chart- of all the lovely flowers God has made, with petals marching round like on parade- Oh, lovely Ring of Fire- you mesmerize me so. This is a lovely piece of work, Sandra. I recognized some portions from your other poems. Nice job; well-written. Frankly, I think it is an outstanding example of Ekphrasis, as you discuss the flower like a work of art. I loved it!
