My Father

If "live the moment" was a person it would be my dear Father.
You may ask why?
It's Because he'd always share joy, speak his heart whether it be anger or happiness
he would never delay-
a moment to make us know his heart.
He can never fake
even in his disappointments or joy,
he lives in the moment!
One chilly night my mother use to say,
" your father brought home a group of strangers
Travelling strangers who missed their bus.
Faces worned out with no where to go
 brought them home "!
I wondered what if they with bad intentions, entered.
Had my father not stopped a moment to think of the consequences??
But because he lives in the moment,
he just saw forlorn travellers and nothing else.
Today, I'm thankful to God
 for this imperfect father
who is beautifully perfect for me.
If you see me as kind
it's because my father is kinder,
it's because of the benchmark he set for compassion which I'm trying to achieve.
Perhaps i may n'vr reach
but someday his daughter shall.
Grateful to God for father's good health and His favour upon him.
In his imperfections God's mercy continues.
