My Family Traditions
"Good name is better than gold",this keeps ringing,
passed unto him by his father he kept on saying,
Always say the truth to avoid flogging,
Honesty and sincerity lead to special caring,
stealing and lying lead to serious scolding,
"Thank you,Mum"must be said after eating,
Fruits are taken thrice a week for healthy living,
Tea and bread~constant meal every Sunday morning,
Ladies are protected and no wife battering,
This he emphasized when you are marrying,
Daughters are not allowed to return after wedding,
Divorced ladies are not given room for staying,
Before anything;you must look before leaping,
Bad attitude and laziness make Mum to start nagging,
which is very annoying and frustrating,
You must cover your body with cloth while sleeping,
failure to comply leads to continuous hammering,
When I was younger,I felt all these are nauseating,
and I love arguing and antagonizing,
but now,flashing back;I feel soothing,
for my family traditions have helped me in life moulding.
