My Faith Is Rewarded
After many hiccups along the way,
My faith in flying cars has been rewarded,
The promises given in the sixties,
That got buried alive in the seventies,
That almost ran out of air in the eighties,
That got dug up in the nineties,
That got left behind at the dawn of the twenty first century,
That were rediscovered a decade ago,
Have now been given the green light.
Now all we need to do is embrace them,
As a means to save the planet,
And kiss goodbye to the need for even more roads to nowhere,
At a cost to economies everywhere.
