My Faerie Garden

many Iowans have vegetable gardens
most of them plant two rows of flowers
some Iowans have gardens of zinnias or hollyhocks
I am a former Iowan

I have a faerie garden
they flit around like happy butterflies
sniffing and tasting the blooms of my happy lilies
my roses adore them; they make them feel healthy

I keep this garden to myself
you could come over
but you would never see it
it is invisible to grown ups
