My Everything Important

My eyes are weathered by the dry wind
So I cannot be sure if I saw you grow an inch
In front of me today
You have become my “everything important”
The greatest one I would sacrifice everything for
I fear my life depends on your happiness
Your success is my doing for now while you are young
I am your protector
I am mirrored in those determined eyes
We shall show the world
That greatness comes from altruistic means
To ease the suffering of others
To plant beauty and inspire is not an ideal
It is a way to live
