My Dreamland

I dream of a world

           A world where peace

           And peace alone reigns;

           And where violence is unheard;

           Where people live without fear

           With heads held high and in esteem,

            And where sustenance of life

            Is ruled by mutual trust,love and respect;

            And in my Dreamland

            Jealousy,hatred and treachery,

            The three most vicious agents of Evil

            Have not found space to enter

            And therefore the land is

            In a state of perpetual tranquillity;

            In my Dreamland there is no corruption

            And is a place of Angel's envy;

            As here women and children are safe

            And held in high esteem;

            Where men see traits of women within them,

            By way of Love and compassion shown to

            Fellow human beings and likewise,

            Women see traits of men within them,

            By way of rising up to face

             Any untoward happenings when men are away,

             With tact and chivalry and showing

              No signs of panic whatsoever;

              I ask, can this world of ours

              Ever change into my land of Dream?

              Or Am I to go in search of this Land

              Through the astronomer's telescope

               In a planet for and away,

                An alien Land of envy.
