MY DREAM AND TIME

Clad in a long white robe I smiled back at a young soul A passing moment of joy Knowing it would be the last. Another bed whispered for help A man, the age of my father Worried who would care for His family, his legacy, when he’s gone. It was a pour from a fountain. The sun's heat hit the curtains And I awoke on a hotel desk Met by a long, quiet gaze of a guest. Then it hit me, I was dreaming. The sands of time had slipped away Falling through the fabric of my sleeves All while I was fast asleep.
