My Dog-CM

I have a pet A dog too smart This I can bet He runs and rolls He makes life cute Through yard he strolls At the moment he sees me near knows my intent His affection is very pure- deep connection. His eyes mirror a love so deep there's no horror. He wags his tail even in sleep, never does fail.

Congratulations, dear Valsa on your win in this contest with a beautiful poem on your dog. It is perhaps the most faithful and lowing pet. Ours passed away quite some time back. We loved and missed her so much that we have not dared to bring another one to take her place. Wish you joyful start of a new week.

Aw, so cute! I am still broken hearted with the loss of our dear sweet boy, and we think often about getting a new dog. Your poem really makes me want to go and find our new fur baby!

I love this poem and I too love dogs. Dogs are wonderful animals, a gift of companionship from God. You are lucky to have such a friend.

You chose a very worthy subject and did it well. I had a dog once that I loved with all my heart. His name was Ollyver and I want to see him in my next life. Is that picture of your dog? What's his name?

Thank you Andrea. This is not the picture of my dog. We had two dachshunds that we kept consecutively. We loved them, very loving and obedient. After seven years gap, when they died, we stopped keeping dogs

NICE write. True? I oft flounder commenting/unsure if a poem is true. If true, I'm happy you are blessed w/ the love your poem conveys. My Siamese is my love, so smart, he heels when we walk outside, fetches, sleeps between our heads, says 'hello' and 'I love you', reads moods, even bites us if too loud verbally fussing for too long to say, 'stop that immediately" then runs like the dickens. I sound like a new Mom with a toddler. It's hard to make friends with their lifespan, isn't it? Enjoyed

Thanks a lot Cay Cay. This pic is not that of my dog. We had a cute dachshund. Initially I had no special love for dogs. I kept it for my children... but soon became an inseparable companion and a member of the family whom we called Tippu. His death after six years literally sank each one of us in tears. We bought another dachshund and named him Tippu.. After seven years when we came back after a trip, he was seen lying dead in its kennel. Another shock! With that we stopped keeping dogs.
