My Dog is Not Rich

My dog is not rich.
With his paws he digs a ditch.
When it snows
he stays inside, never goes,
never strays.
Uses credit cards when he pays
charges like a rhino on parade
many bills go unpaid.
I love him like an uninvited guest.
Truth be told, it’s canine unrest.
