My Destiny

My heart is filled with acrimony The culmination came with his testimony He said that he no longer needed me And that he was now setting me free I thought this was my destiny, my plan All centered around this place, this man I gathered my things and I left behind The world I thought of as mine The brilliant noonday sun did not melt The freeze that my heart so deeply felt Despair was taking over my feelings From this blow, my head was reeling The combination made me begin to sob What would I do without that job?
