My Desk
What can I say?
It is anywhere and everywhere,
there is something to write about.
I bring it with me.
It is heavy.
The top is three-foot deep,
and six-foot-long,
but there is still not enough space,
for space... stories.
It is not nearly enough territory,
for a real western... adventure.
It is too hard to grow the garden,
and too hard to sleep upon,
but it is still...
an asset to my life,
in many ways.
Yet,
sometimes
I still have to go...,
and so,
I still...
take it with me,
...my desk! (whispered)
