My Depression

Around me everywhere, Love is in the air It makes me feel so depressed I don't even want to get dressed In my life I'm all alone My house isn't really a home Waking up each new morning, I wonder why I'm still living I post my poems for others to see And reveal myself emotionally I write to escape the hurt and pain In the hope I'll find love once again

Nice one, very very honest indeed; we all have our reasons for writing, wether they are related to emotion or to preserve sanity; thanks a lot for the comments and for sharing!!=D

Janice, how well you recall the feeling of envy when everyone around us seems to be blessed with love. Like you, I live alone and my house of 20 years often doesn't feel like home. Great verse! Love, Carolyn

The wonderful part of Poetry Soup, is being able to unburden the heart....and it truly does help each one of us to unload our heavy minds and hearts. I hope it helps you too...and please don't give up...each day we wake up to new things...there could be someone waiting for you, tomorrow or the next day...one never knows what tomorrow might bring. God Bless...Carrie
