My Definition

Here’s my definition of The act of growing old: I look around in shops at All the items being sold And, although I can afford them, Even if the price is high, There is absolutely nothing That I really want to buy. My younger self would ooh and aah In every mall and store, But there’s very little now That does entice me anymore.

I used to enjoy shopping, but now enjoy buying. Ask yourself, "Do I NEED it?" Thinking of it, now I ask myself, "Do my heirs WANT it?" LOL

Yes! I can't even remember the last time I bought anything but gasoline and things that can be found in a grocery store. Thanks for sharing.

Well said Ilene. My wife and I are trying to downsize. I dont shop for tools or guns much anymore. Trying to sell our camping trailer. Funny how we spend half our lives buying stuff and the other getting rid of it and resisting the temptation to buy more.

I have to agree. I've run out of room, but I'm still a sucker for books. Thank you for the sisterhood.
